What do
our services include?

What materials can we work with?

The materials we can work with and usually work with are very diverse, we work with expanded polystyrene, extruded polystyrene, wood, MDF, PVC, methacrylate, glass or crystal, sheet metal, steel, aluminum, plastic polymer, ceramics in tiles and others such as plywood.

What is polystyrene? Main material we work with.

Expanded polystyrene is a thermoplastic plastic foam made up of a set of closed-cell structure particles closely bonded together. During transformation, the raw material is subjected to the action of steam, causing the small expandable polystyrene beads to increase their volume up to 50 times, trapping a large amount of air inside. It is the trapped air that provides expanded polystyrene products with excellent qualities such as thermal insulation and inert material.
After all, it is the material used to wrap refrigerators, washing machines, or televisions, but with much higher density… That is, if the beads forming the polystyrene to cover the aforementioned appliances have a diameter of 6-8 millimeters corresponding to a density of 15-20 kg/m³. In our material, the bead is barely 2 mm, corresponding to a density of 35 kg/m³, the highest manufactured in Spain for this material.
Advantages:
High Thermal Insulation.
Great Mechanical Resistance.
Very high dimensional stability with high or low temperatures.
No alterations against water, heat, or ice.
Ease of handling.
Very lightweight material.
Inert material.
Odorless, non-toxic character.
Ease of repair.
Protected from the sun, it remains unchanged over time, making it a much more durable and stable material than many currently used in construction.

What are the pieces or mouldings made of?

Our mouldings are made from different materials depending on their purpose or final use. If they are cornices or pieces for facades, they are usually made from high-density expanded polystyrene. If they are complex pieces like Corinthian capitals or special heritage restorations, they can be made from plastic polymer; both are suitable for outdoor placement without any problem. We can also work with wood and other materials for interior use.
We have the regulations in the section of this website under the same name.

Can I use the pieces outdoors?

Yes, you can use any polystyrene piece outdoors, but they must be coated on site with our moldurroc® resin. This resin is used for coating and also for attaching the polystyrene to the surface.
Regulations require applying three coats to the piece. These coats are applied with a brush as if it were paint, although it is thicker. Usage and application details are available in this section for download.

Can we provide the finished, treated or painted pieces?

No, in our factory the pieces come completely virgin, they are not treated nor painted. This is always done by the installer or placer, ensuring a better finish since the joints are finished simultaneously with the assembly… although if desired, we can advise you on this.

What work can we perform?

We can manufacture practically anything, from cornices, sculptures, ornaments, Semana Santa steps, tile murals, restorations, heritage, theme parks, interior design, signage, or any type of ornament you need.
